Unlawful Detention: The Injustice Against Asaolu Gafar

 

It is now the third day since Asaolu Gafar, the Personal Assistant to Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has been unjustly detained under the directive of Governor Dapo Abiodun. After failing to implicate Hon. Adebutu—who voluntarily submitted himself for questioning and was cleared—his associates are now being targeted in a desperate display of political vendetta.


Asaolu Gafar's continued detention is based on a false narrative designed to intimidate and deflect from the failure to find wrongdoing against Hon. Adebutu. This misuse of power is not only unjust but deeply cruel. How can those behind this sleep at night, knowing they are subjecting someone else’s child to this injustice—all for politics?


The people of Ogun State see through these actions. This is not about justice; it is about oppression. The truth cannot be suppressed, and no amount of political intimidation will erase the strength of the collective will for fairness and accountability.


We demand an immediate release of Asaolu Gafar and an end to the misuse of state resources for political intimidation.

Concerns Over Plan by Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas to Announce Local Government Sole Administrators.

Concerns have surfaced regarding an alleged plan by Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State appointed by President Bola Tinubu, to announce new Local Government Area (LGA) Administrators on Monday, March 24, 2025.
